Dr. Barry Goodell - Hobbies wood decaybiofuelscarbon nanotubeswood composites
My wife and I still spend much of our time in family activities, going to our kids sporting and school activities. In the summer, we try to get out to our cabin on the edge of Sebec Lake in mountains of central Maine. Here's a picture of Jody and the boys (Nathan and Matt circa 1993) swimming and sunning at the lake. (See second photo below for woodworking)

When there's time I still like to do some wood working. Below is a music stand that I designed and made from maple with a birds-eye maple tray and back. It's height adjustable: When you pull up a wooden rod extending down inside the body of the stand allows the tray to come up. (By the way, the painting on the wall is an original "Brad Kropp" watercolor. Brad's an old friend from graduate school, and a great mycologist (see his web site link), but he does some nice paintings too.
